Taking apart a PS3 is a bit like surgery – careful and precise. First, remove the screws under the seal and warranty sticker using a Torx T10. Then, take off the hard drive cover and remove all visible screws. Continue disassembling the case, but be gentle with the plastic clips.

To take apart your PS3, you'll need a Phillips head screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver, and a Torx T10 screwdriver. Start by removing the warranty sticker to access the screws on the bottom. Keep track of all the screws you remove, and take note of where each one belongs!

Use a Torx T10 screwdriver to remove screws from the bottom of the PS3. It's pretty straightforward after that. Good luck!

I took apart my PS3 last month. You need to start with the Torx screws on the bottom, then work your way through the case. Just keep track of all your screws and connectors!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
