I just did this last weekend! Lay your PS5 on its side, remove the base, and carefully slide off the faceplates. Then you've gotta unscrew a few parts to access the internals. Be sure to watch a few YouTube tutorials if you're not 100% sure.

Alright, first things first, make sure your PS5 is unplugged! Start by removing the base stand if you have it on. Then, you'll want to carefully pop off the white cover panels. After that, you can access the screws and start disassembling the internal components. Remember to keep track of all the screws and where they go!

Why take it apart? Just play the thing!

Start with removing the stand and the side panels. After that, unscrew and take out the plastic parts inside. Go slow and be gentle with the wires and components!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
