First, unplug everything to avoid any shocking surprises! Next, remove the hard drive and side panels by popping the latches. Unscrew the T8 and T10 screws (Torx screws), carefully remove the top and bottom shells, and voila鈥攜ou're in! Just remember to be gentle with those ribbon cables.

I did it myself last weekend! Pop off the side panels and hard drive first, then remove screws with a Torx driver. Be gentle and don't rush it.

Taking apart an Xbox 360 S isn't too tough: start by removing the hard drive, then pop off the side panels. Unscrew the Torx screws and carefully remove the top and bottom casings. Just make sure you don't lose any screws!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
