Honestly, who even uses passive mode? Just dive into the chaos and enjoy the game as it's meant to be played!

Tip from someone who's been there: after turning off passive mode, give it a sec before doing anything wild. There's a short cooldown where you can't use weapons. Learned that the hard way during a, let's say, 'intense negotiation' with another player.

Taking passive mode off in GTA 5 is pretty simple. Just hold down the 'Select' button if you're on console to pull up the Interaction Menu. Once there, navigate down to 'Disable Passive Mode.' It'll take a few seconds to switch back, so you can't instantly jump into action, but that's all there is to it!

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
