For a more scenic shot without the UI clutter, you can usually toggle the in-game interface off with a specific game command (check the game's settings or manual for details) before pressing F12. Make those screenshots wallpaper worthy!

Just hit that Print Screen button, folks. Then, paste it into Paint or something. Not the Steam way, but hey, it gets the job done when you forget F12 exists.

Press the F12 key while in-game to take a screenshot on Steam. It's the default shortcut, and Steam will save it for you. You can find your screenshots under the Screenshots section of the Steam app, or in your game's folder in the Steam directory.

Actually, I find using external software like Fraps or OBS for screenshots gives you more control. Steam's F12 is easy, but sometimes you need more options.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
