Just weigh it! Seriously, most of the fake gold Pokemon cards are lighter than the real ones. I found this out the hard way.

Honestly, just buy from reputable sellers or directly from the official Pokemon website. Saves you the headache of figuring out if it's fake or not.

Spotting a fake gold Pokemon card can be tricky, but there's some dead giveaways. First, check the card's texture. Real gold cards have a distinct, uniform texture that fakes often can't replicate. The coloring is another tell; if the gold looks too dull or too shiny, suspect a fake. Also, real Pokemon cards have clean and crisp printing, especially around the edges of the image and text. Blurry or smudged printing is a red flag. Lastly, compare the card's thickness and weight to that of a known genuine card. Fakes often feel flimsier.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
