How to tell card rarity in MTG
In Magic The Gathering, you can tell the rarity of a card by looking at the color of the set symbol on the card. Common cards have black symbols, uncommon cards have silver symbols, rare cards have gold symbols, and mythic rare cards are identified by a reddish-orange symbol. Also, starting from some recent sets, there's a small letter beneath the card's text on the bottom left that indicates rarity: C for common, U for uncommon, R for rare, and M for mythic rare.

I've been playing MTG for years and honestly, sometimes the best way to identify a card's rarity is by just using an online database or app. There are so many special editions and exceptions, especially with promo cards, that the color method isn't always foolproof.
Just flip the card and check the color of the symbol near the middle right – gold is rare, guys!
