Identifying the edition of a Pokemon card is kinda like being a detective, but instead of solving crimes, you're digging into your card collection. Look at the bottom corner of your card. If you see a little '1' symbol, that means it's a first edition card - super rare and often more valuable! No symbol usually means it's an unlimited edition. Also, check out the card number and compare it with online databases or card lists to see its release details. Happy hunting!

Just flip the card. No need for magnifying glasses or detective hats. The tiny symbols or text at the bottom tell you everything. First editions have a '1' and shadowless cards are missing the shadow on the right side of the image box. Everything else is pretty standard!

Honestly, it's not even worth obsessing over unless you're a hardcore collector. Most cards are unlimited edition and it's all about the game, not just collecting.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
