Real gold Pokemon cards have a few tells that set them apart from fakes. First off, check the weight; real gold cards should feel notably heavier than regular cards. The texture is another giveaway: authentic ones have a distinct metallic feel that's hard to mimic. Look closely at the print quality too; official cards have sharp, clear images and text, while fakes often look blurry or smudged. Don't forget to compare with online images from reliable sources!

Just bite it! Just kidding, please don't. Real gold cards have a unique shine and a precise level of detail that fakes can't copy. If it looks dull or the details seem off, you're probably looking at a fake.

Honestly, if you got it super cheap, it's probably fake. Real gold Pokemon cards aren't something you find at a bargain.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
