How to tell if a Pokemon card pack is resealed

A big tell-tale sign of a resealed Pokemon card pack is improper sealing where the plastic wrap seems off, like it's too loose or too tight compared to usual packs. The packaging might also lack the usual crimping pattern seen at the edges. Also, check the wrapper's clarity; official packs have a clear, tight seal with uniform wrap, while resealed ones might appear foggy or uneven. Don't forget to inspect for any extra glue or tampering signs that could hint the pack has been tampered with!

Honestly, just weigh it. Resealed packs can be lighter or heavier than they should be because the folks resealing them might remove the good cards and replace them with lighter ones. Not a 100% method but it's a quick check.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Avoid deals that seem way below market value; those packs are often resealed.

Uneven wrapping and off sealing are dead giveaways. But the only surefire way to avoid fakes is buying from official retailers or directly from the Pokemon website.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
