The easiest way to spot a real Hot Wheels is by checking the packaging and the car itself for brand markings. Real Hot Wheels will always have the Hot Wheels logo, usually on the bottom of the car. Also, look for a high level of detail and quality in both the paint job and the car's construction - fakes often have sloppy paint and less detailed designs.

Check the wheels! Real Hot Wheels have a distinct look to the wheels, and they roll super smooth. I bought what I thought was a legit Hot Wheel at a flea market, but the wheels were all wonky. Learned my lesson - if the wheels seem off, it's probably a fake.

Honestly, if it looks too cheap to be true, it probably isn鈥檛 a real Hot Wheels. The brand prides itself on quality, so real deal cars feel solid and well-made.
