Oh, the world of Pokemon cards! Here's a quick guide to spot the fakers: Real cards have a consistent, smooth finish, while fakes often feel flimsy or glossy. Check the coloring too; genuine cards are vibrant but not overly bright. The border edge is another tale-teller; real Pokemon cards have a clean, even border. Lastly, peep the back of the card - a murky or off-color back screams fake!

A lot of fakes misspell the names or move descriptions, so always read the text carefully.

I once got scammed with a fake shiny Charizard that looked too good to be true. The holographic pattern was all wrong, and the card stock felt off. Always double-check the holo pattern and texture. Real ones have a distinct, high-quality feel.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
