How to tell if Pokemon cards are worth money

First off, check the rarity symbol! It's usually at the bottom of the card - a circle means common, a diamond is uncommon, and a star means it's rare. Holo or foil cards are generally worth more, especially if they're in mint condition. Also, first editions and cards from the original sets (like Base Set) can fetch a pretty penny. Don’t forget to look up the card's current market value on sites like TCGplayer or eBay for a rough estimate!

Just look for the shiny ones, lol. But seriously, condition matters a LOT. Even a rare card can be worthless if it's in bad shape.

Honestly, it's all about rarity and condition. Some cards might look cool but are worth next to nothing, while others that seem mundane could be super rare. Always double-check!

My first ever rare was a holographic Charizard. Thought I hit the jackpot, but it was pretty beaten up. Checked its value and... let's just say condition is key. A pristine card vs. a worn one can be the difference between a fortune and pocket change.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
