The easiest way to tell if you've got second edition Pokemon cards is to look for a little “2” symbol located at the bottom right corner of the card, near the edge. It’s pretty small, so you might need a magnifying glass. Also, second edition cards have a different color on the back compared to the first edition, so you can spot the difference if you have both types to compare.

I found out I had some second edition cards when I noticed the card texture felt a bit different from the first edition ones. Plus, the color tone on the back was slightly off. So, if the card feels or looks a little different from what you remember, it might be worth a closer look!

Just look for the tiny ' 2' symbol near the bottom - that's your clue. Honestly, it’s like finding Waldo once you know where to look.

that's your golden ticket confirming it's second edition! Also, keep an eye out for the card number; second editions might have a slight variance compared to first editions.

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
