Nah, don't bother. All the real value's in playing the game, not in whether it's 1st edition or not. Just enjoy the TCG!

Easy! First edition Pokemon cards have a specific 'Edition 1' symbol on them. It's this little symbol you're looking for that usually sits directly under the bottom left corner of the Pokemon illustration. Without this symbol, it's not a first edition. Also, check the bottom right of the card for the set's unique symbol to confirm which set it's from.

Pro tip: The 'Edition 1' stamp is the gold-standard for identifying a 1st edition Pokemon card. I once found a rare 1st edition in my collection by spotting that tiny symbol - felt like striking gold!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
