Japanese Pokemon cards have rarity symbols on them, just like the English versions. Look for a symbol on the bottom corner of the card - circles mean common, diamonds are uncommon, and stars indicate rare. For ultra-rare cards, you might see special symbols like multiple stars, or a star with an 'R', 'SR', or 'UR' representing Rare, Super Rare, and Ultra Rare respectively. Sometimes, the rarity is just written in text, especially for promo cards!

Check the bottom of your Japanese Pokemon card. Rarity symbols are your best friend here. No symbol? Probably not officially rare.

Honestly, just look it up online. Every card has its info somewhere on the internet. Way easier than memorizing symbols.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
