I once thought I had a super rare card because it was all shiny and fancy, but turns out it was just a really nice uncommon. Don't get fooled by the bling; check the symbol!

Telling the rarity of Japanese Pokemon cards is easy once you know what to look for! Check out the bottom corner of your card. You'll see a symbol there - a circle means it's common, a diamond for uncommon, and a star for a rare card. Super rare cards have a shiny holographic border or picture, and the ultra-rare ones might even have special artwork or textures that stand out. Also, some Japanese cards have a letter like 'R', 'U', or 'SR' to indicate 'Rare', 'Uncommon', or 'Super Rare' respectively.

Honestly, just look for anything shiny or with extra fancy artwork. If it's glittering more than your future, it's probably rare.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
