Easy! Look for the symbol at the bottom right corner of the card. A circle means common, a diamond indicates uncommon, and a star means it's rare. Some super rare cards have special symbols like a star H or three stars to indicate they're extra special. Also, don't forget to check for holo or reverse holo effects; they usually mean the card's a bit more special than your average!

Just flip the card and squint at the tiny symbols. If you see shiny stuff, it's probably good.

Star symbol=Rare, but... ever hear of a 'Secret Rare'? These babies have card numbers higher than the set list. So if you see something like 103/100, congrats, you've hit the jackpot.

Honestly, the rarity isn't always about the symbol. A card's value can skyrocket due to its playability in tournaments, so keep an eye on those deck lists!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
