Rarity is in the eye of the cardholder, but the real tea is that the card's texture gives it away. Full Art or EX/GX cards feel different than the rest - they're thicker and have a unique glossiness. So, if it feels fancy, it probably is!

Spotting a rare Pokemon card is all about the symbols! Look on the bottom right corner of the card for a tiny symbol. A circle means common, a diamond indicates uncommon, and a star means it's rare. If you see a star with an ‘H’ or three stars, you've hit the jackpot with an ultra-rare card! Also, don't skip checking out the card's color. A holographic or shiny finish could mean it's more valuable.

Honestly, just look for the ones that shine like a disco ball. Shiny equals rare. End of story.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
