Figuring out which version of a Pokemon card you have is super easy! First, check the bottom of the card. You'll usually find the set symbol there, which tells you which set the card belongs to. Also, look for a card number and/or rarity symbol (like a circle for common or a star for rare). If you're dealing with an older card or a special edition, things might get a bit trickier, but sites like Bulbapedia have detailed galleries and information to help you out. Happy hunting!

Lots of folks think it's all about the artwork or the text, but nah, the true secret's in the tiny details. I've got cards from the '90s that threw me for a loop until I learned to check the set symbols and card numbers. Works every time.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
