Open the Steam menu, go to 'Settings', click on 'Audio', and then you'll find a 'Test Microphone' option. Easy-peasy!

Settings > Audio > Test Microphone. If it doesn't work, double-check if the mic is connected or maybe give it a little pep talk!

Just go to Settings > Audio > Start Test under Microphone settings. Speak into the mic and see the magic happen.

Open Settings, navigate to Audio settings, then hit 'Test Microphone'. You should see the input levels dance if it's working.
