Got past 1046 by finding 'GATES' and 'STAGE' early. Those letters fall into place nicely.

For level 1046, start with the longer words first to give yourself more clues. Focus on 'STAGE' and 'GATE'. Good luck!

I remember that level! Try starting with 'AGENT' and then fill in the rest. That's what worked for me!
