In V Rising, you can't trade items directly with other players, but you can drop items on the ground and have your friend pick them up. Just beware of sneaky players who might swipe your loot!

No direct trading system exists in V Rising yet, so you'll have to resort to the old drop-and-swap method with trusted friends.
