Sadly, there's no direct way to transfer GTA 5 progress from Xbox to PS5 because the game doesn't support cross-platform save transfers. You'd have to start fresh on the PS5. But hey, it gives you a good excuse to experience the thrill from the start again!

Short answer? You can't. GTA 5 saves are locked to the platform you played on, so Xbox to PS5 is a no-go.

Actually, while you can't transfer game progress, if you're talking about transferring your online character in GTA Online, that's a different story. You used to be able to transfer your online character from Xbox to PlayStation, but Rockstar removed that feature back in March 2017. So, if it's the online version you're talking about, it's still a no, but it was indeed possible at one point.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
