Just connect your external hard drive to the PS3 via USB, navigate to the 'Photos' section, select the photos, and use the 'Copy' option.

I’ve done this a bunch of times. Plug your external drive into the PS3, go to the photo section, hit the options button on the photo(s) you want to move, and choose 'Copy'. Select your drive and you’re all set. Simple as that.

Pro tip: Make sure your external drive is formatted to FAT32. The PS3 won’t recognize NTFS!

Super easy! Plug in your external hard drive to one of the PS3's USB ports. Go to 'Photos' on the main menu, find the images you want to transfer, press the triangle button, and select 'Copy'. Pick your external hard drive as the destination, and boom, done!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
