How to Transfer Steam Games to a New Computer
LettingTail路7 months agoIf you're looking to save some time and not re-download everything, just copy your entire Steam folder to an external HDD or SSD. Plug that into the new computer, run Steam.exe, and it'll set everything up like magic. Saved me tons of download time when I got my new rig!

Super easy! Just download and install the Steam client on your new computer. Log in with your account, and you can access your entire library. Right-click on the game you wanna install, hit 'Install' and voila! You don't even have to transfer files manually unless you want to save on download times. If that's the case, copy your SteamApps folder from the old PC to the new one, re-install Steam, and it should recognize the games.
Honestly, who transfers anymore? Just download Steam, log in, and re-download your games. It's 2023; we have fast internet for a reason!
Just re-download, folks. Keeps things clean and ensures you have the latest versions of your games. Plus, installing Steam again is a breeze.
