Ditto transforms automatically when you encounter it in the wild. You can't manually transform it into another Pokémon yourself.

Catch a wild Ditto! Once you have it, it will automatically transform into the Pokémon it disguises itself as. Just look for common Pokémon that might be Ditto in disguise like Rattata or Pidgey.

Ditto's transformation ability only works in the wild, so you can't change it at will. It's always a surprise!
