Why even turn it off? The galaxy looks cooler when it's lit up. But if you must, hold the assigned button.

In the default settings, pressing 'F' should toggle the light off. Check your key bindings if it's different!

I found pressing 'F' on my keyboard did the trick. You might need to see which button it is on a controller though!
