Actually, ditching 2FA might not be the best move. Sure, it's a bit annoying to do the extra step, but think of it as the moat around your castle. Without it, you're just inviting the dragons in. Stay safe, friend.

Turning off Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator, which is Steam's version of 2FA (two-factor authentication), is pretty straightforward. Just open the Steam mobile app, go to the 'Steam Guard' section in the menu, tap on 'Remove Authenticator,' and follow the on-screen instructions. Remember, though, without it, your account's security is as strong as your password, so make sure it's a good one!

Just go to settings in the Steam app, it's not rocket science. But hey, reconsider? That extra step is there for a reason, y'know.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
