To stop Tears of the Kingdom from updating automatically, dive into your Nintendo Switch system settings. Scroll down to System, then Auto-Update Software, and just flick that switch off. Bam! No more sneaky updates while you're deep in Hyrule.

Easy peasy! On your Nintendo Switch, go to System Settings > System > Auto-Update Software and turn it off. Your game stays just as you left it, untouched by the hands of time (or updates).

Honestly, why turn it off? The updates are there to make your experience in Hyrule even more epic. But hey, to each their own. Do it through system settings if you must.

I turned off auto updates 'cause I was on a mighty quest and didn't want interruptions. Just navigate your Switch settings to System, find Auto-Update, and turn that bad boy off. Worked like a charm for me!

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
