Go to the Settings menu from the home screen, select 'Accessibility', then 'Captions Mode', and set it to 'Off'. No more subtitles!

To turn off closed captioning on your Roku TV, hit the * button on your Roku remote while watching a show, go to 'Closed Captions', and select 'Off'. Easy peasy!

I had the same issue! Just press the * button during your show, then navigate to 'Closed Captions', and turn it off.

Honestly, you just need to go into Settings > Accessibility and turn off Captions Mode. Done deal.
