So you wanna ditch that depth of field effect in Fallout 4? Easy peasy. Just open the Fallout4Pref.ini file in your Documents/My Games/Fallout 4 folder. Look for a line that says 'bDoDepthOfField=1' and change that 1 to 0. Save the file and boom, no more depth of field. Remember to make a backup of your ini file before messing with it, just in case.
Pro tip: If you're not a fan of modifying game files or using console commands, there are mods that can disable depth of field for you. Just head over to your favorite modding site, and you should find plenty of options. Mods make life easier, and you get to keep your hands clean!
You can also turn off depth of field in-game by using console commands. Hit the tilde key (~) to open the console, and type 'DoF 0' (without quotes) and press Enter. This should disable depth of field for your current session. Note that you'll need to do this every time you play, as it resets when you close the game.
