Hey there! To turn off DMs on Instagram, go to your profile, tap on the three lines in the top right, select 'Settings', then 'Privacy', and finally 'Messages'. From there, you can tweak who can message you or turn off message requests entirely!
In my experience, tweaking the message settings under Privacy really helped me reduce unwanted messages. Just navigate to Settings, Privacy, and then Messages.
