The best way to make footsteps less distracting but still keep them on is by using the visual sound effects option. Go to Settings > Audio > Visualize Sound Effects and turn it on. This way, you can see footsteps without hearing them as much.

You can mute your game sound entirely if you really want to. Just go to Settings > Audio and set the main volume to 0. Not recommended though, as you'll miss important cues!

You can't completely turn off footsteps in Fortnite since they're crucial for gameplay. However, you can reduce the sound effects volume. Go to Settings > Audio and adjust the SFX volume slider to lower it.

Honestly, you can't turn them off completely. But why would you want to? Hearing enemy footsteps gives you a massive tactical advantage!

If you're a Fortnite player looking for extra v-bucks, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Fortnite gift card, which you can win and use to get v-bucks essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
