Hot take, but why turn it off? Sure, you get the odd troll, but part of GTA 5's charm is the chaos and banter. However, if you really gotta do it, just flick it off in the settings like the others said.

Turning off game chat in GTA 5 is pretty simple! If you're on console, just go to the 'Pause' menu, select 'Settings,' then go to 'Voice Chat' and set it to 'Off.' For PC players, it's the same process. Pause the game, jump into settings, find the 'Voice Chat' option and switch it off. Bam, no more hearing strangers argue about who's the best driver in Los Santos.

I turned mine off years ago and never looked back. It's easy. Just dive into the settings menu, look for voice chat options, and turn it off. Makes for a much more chill GTA experience, especially if you're not in the mood for hearing randoms yell at each other.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
