You can't completely turn it off, but reducing the clip length to 30 seconds minimizes it!

To turn off gameplay recording, go to Settings > Sharing and Broadcasts > Length of Video Clip, then set the length to the lowest option.

Why would you want to turn it off? It鈥檚 a cool feature! But if you must, set the clip length to 30 seconds.

Bro, just go to Settings > Sharing and Broadcasts. Change the Length of Video Clip to 30 seconds. EZPZ!

I've tried turning it off entirely but had no luck. Reducing the length to 30 seconds is the best workaround I've found.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
