I tried turning off GameScope, thinking it would help with battery life, but TBH, didn't notice much difference. The games did feel a bit laggy though. So, maybe keep it on for the best experience.

Turning off GameScope on your Steam Deck is pretty straightforward. Just press the '...' button to open the Quick Access Menu, then navigate to 'Settings'. In the 'System Settings' menu, look for the 'Performance' section. There, you'll find a toggle for GameScope. Just switch it off, and voila, GameScope is disabled. Remember though, turning GameScope off might affect your gaming experience, as it's designed to optimize performance.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
