How to Turn Off Highlights on Facebook
You can't entirely turn off highlights, but you can manage them. Head to your profile, select the Highlights section, and remove any stories you don't want highlighted. Easy peasy!

Facebook doesn't offer a 'turn off highlights' button. Instead, just don't add any more stories to your highlights and they'll stay empty.
I tried to disable highlights for a while. No luck. Your best bet is to just stop adding stories to it.
You can't remove the feature itself but you can manage it. Just skip adding new stories to your highlights and delete the ones already there.
