How to Turn Off Read Receipts on Instagram
No official way to turn off read receipts in DMs, so you'll have to get creative! I usually just read from notifications or hit airplane mode!

Instagram doesn't offer an option to turn off read receipts. Sorry, folks, you're stuck with them for now.
I always read my Instagram messages from the notification preview. That way, I can see the message without the sender knowing!
Currently, you can't directly turn off read receipts on Instagram. But you can read messages from the notification bar or switch to airplane mode before opening the app to avoid sending a read receipt!
