Exiting Steam Big Picture mode is super easy! Just hit the 'Big Picture Mode' button (it looks like a little rectangle with arrows in each corner) at the top right of the Big Picture interface. This will take you back to the regular Steam view. If you're in-game, press Shift + Tab to bring up the Steam Overlay, then click 'Return to Desktop'.

To get out of Big Picture mode, simply go to the settings cog in Big Picture mode, select 'Interface,' and uncheck the box that says 'Start Steam in Big Picture Mode.' This way, Steam will open in desktop mode by default next time you launch it.

I always manually switch it off from settings. Feels like I have more control over what my Steam does when I boot up. Preferences matter, folks!

Honestly, just hit Alt + F4. It closes Big Picture Mode and brings you straight to desktop. Fast and foolproof.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
