Honestly, just turn it off. The overlay can be a distraction, and some games run smoother without it. Open Steam > Settings > In-Game and uncheck the 'Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game'. Simple as that.

I turned off the overlay for a smoother experience in some of my favorite games. Haven't missed it tbh. Makes things feel a bit more 'immersive' without pop-ups interrupting your game.

Trust me, keep it on. The overlay might seem annoying at first, but it's super useful for quick access to friends, screenshots, and web browsing without leaving your game. Minimal impact on performance in most cases.

It's easy! Just open your Steam client and click on 'Steam' in the upper left corner, then go to 'Settings'. Click on the 'In-Game' tab, and you'll see 'Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game' at the top. Just uncheck that box, and you're good to go. No more overlay popping up when you're trying to game in peace!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
