Unfortunately, you can't completely turn off suggested posts on Instagram, but you can hide individual suggestions! Tap the three dots on the upper right of a suggested post and select 'Not Interested.'
Yeah, just tap the three dots on each suggested post and hit 'Not Interested.' Instagram doesn't really let you turn them off entirely.
