How to Turn Off the Sounds on Facebook
I found it super simple on my phone. Hit the three lines, go to 'Settings & Privacy', tap 'Settings', then 'Media and Contacts'. Turn off 'Sounds in the app'. Done!

Easy peasy! Just go to the Facebook app, tap on the three horizontal lines at the bottom right, scroll to 'Settings & Privacy', then 'Settings'. From there, scroll down to 'Media and Contacts' and toggle off the 'Sounds in the app'.
Just mute your phone!
