Super easy! Just open Steam, go to 'Settings' then 'In-Game.' Look for 'In-game FPS counter' and choose where you want it to display on your screen. Don't forget to tick the 'High contrast color' option if you want it to stand out more.

Just hit Shift+Tab in-game to bring up the Steam Overlay, then Settings > In-Game > In-game FPS counter. Pick a location on the screen, and boom, you're set to monitor those precious frames.

Everyone says to use the Steam FPS counter, but honestly, third-party apps like FRAPS or MSI Afterburner give you way more info and customization. Steam's option is fine for a quick check, though.
