How to turn on hover mode in War Thunder
To enable hover mode, you need to play with helicopters that support it. Once you're in a compatible chopper, use the default keybind 'G' to toggle between different flight modes!

You gotta be flying a helicopter that supports hover mode. When you're in the right vehicle, hit ‘G’ to switch to hover.
Hover mode isn't available in all helicopters. Make sure you’re in one that supports it and use the 'G' key to toggle hover.
Easy peasy: get in a heli that supports it and hit ‘G’. Done.
From my experience, just make sure you're piloting the right chopper. Hover mode should activate by pressing 'G'. If it doesn't work, check your control settings!
