Honestly, just use the mobile authenticator. It's way more convenient than waiting around for an email every time you want to log in from a new device. Plus, it gives you those sweet trading and market perks.

Steam Guard? More like Steam Nuisance. I turned it off. Every time I try to log in from a new device, it's a whole thing. I get the security aspect, but it's not user-friendly at all.

Turning on Steam Guard is pretty straightforward! Just open your Steam client and click on 'Steam' in the top left corner. Then go to 'Settings' > 'Account' and you'll see a section called 'Steam Guard'. Click 'Manage Steam Guard Account Security' and you'll have the option to either receive codes by email or use the mobile authenticator. Choose your preferred method, and voila, you're set!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
