How to Turn On Subtitles on Roku
I've got a Roku myself. To enable subtitles, I always hit the * button during playback and toggle them on from the menu.

Just dive into the settings of your Roku! Go to Settings > Accessibility > Captions mode and select 'On always'. No more silent movies!
To turn on subtitles on your Roku, simply press the * button on your remote while the video is playing. From the options menu, scroll down to 'Subtitles' and choose your preferred language. Easy peasy subtitles on!
Why bother with subtitles? Just learn lip reading instead!
