Experience talking: Plug it into the controller, then go to 'Settings,' check 'Devices & connections,' and make sure 'Headset mic' is enabled. Worked like magic for me!

First, plug your headset into the controller. Then, go to 'Settings' > 'Devices & connections' > 'Accessories,' and check if your headset is detected. Make sure the mic is not muted and the volume is up!
