Turning ore into bars in Terraria is super easy! Just mine some ore and then stand near a Furnace. Open your crafting menu, and you should see the option to smelt the ore into bars. If you can't see the option, make sure you're really close to the Furnace. You'll need this for crafting all sorts of gear and building materials.

Honestly, don't sweat it too much. Mining a bunch of ore and then finding out you gotta craft a Furnace (stone, torch, and wood) first is kinda the rite of passage in Terraria. Once you have it, smelting ore into bars and feeling like a medieval blacksmith is the best part. Makes you appreciate the shiny bars even more.

Just get to a Furnace, easy peasy. No Furnace, no bars. Simple as that.
