To enable Performance Mode in Fortnite, go to the game's settings, navigate to the Video tab, and switch the Rendering Mode to 'Performance (Alpha).' Your FPS should get a nice boost!

From personal experience, I can tell you that switching to Performance Mode made my game run so much smoother. Just head to Settings, then Video, and change the Rendering Mode to 'Performance (Alpha)'.
